Demons here are really interesting, instead of just being humans but with a distinct appearance plus some buffs here and there, they have very distinct differences to other races. For one thing they don't seem to be able to comprehend or express true empathy or lover for others. They apparently don't grow up in family units and the only reason they would show anything akin to human emotions is to trick humans out of a desire to kill or survive. Their nature is very different from (as far as I've seen) any of the other races. It makes them very unique to this setting.

So many names: Stark from the last episode means strong. Granat (the lord) is the same in english I believe. Lügner (Head demon guy) = Liar Draht (demon who went after Frieren) = Wire Linie (demon girl) = Line
