no matter what world it is Tomoyo will always love Sakura, she's just naturally drawn to her no matter what. I'm glad we were able to finish Sakura before we fully started this series because you have a stronger connection to the characters and story from it. I feel like I should bring up one of Clamp's big themes "there is no such thing as a coincidence in this world, what does exist is only the inevitable", you'll hear variations of the quote all over their work, the belief in a sort of guiding fate for everything, the two big examples you'll know so far are how it was one of Clow Reed's biggest beliefs, and the other is from the Dimensional Witch, the one who gave our team Mokona and the ability to travel dimensions (she's also a main character from the series XXXHolic).
