this is the ventriloquist's last real appearance in the series, according to the creators he is one of Batman's villains who actually did reform and overcome his mental illness. 6 months to be deemed sane does sound ridiculous... but given what the criminal justice system is like in real life... it's not really that far from the truth, I mean... at least this one was away for more than a long weekend I guess? oh and yeah, like Joel said Superman and Lois were hanging out in a park in the background of this episode, Superman TAS and this series are connected now, so there's little cameos here and there now, especially since this one leads into the Justice League series.
