The interesting thing about the moral dilemmas here is that it's not just a simple decision of saving the world, it's saving a world that wants to exterminate their people (definitely moreso after experiencing the rumbling). No matter which side they decide to save, they'll be condemning the other side to be killed. Also, when Hange was telling Levi she wanted to make a cool exit, she wasn't just being her crazy self, she was scared and didn't want the others to know. Levi understood so he actually gave her encouragement for probably the first time ever (considering he's always the edgy hardass).
