I always wondered what young Scar looked like before he turned evil. Did he already have the scar at that time?

Depends on which version of the story you want to go with, in the 6 new adventures book, he’s still pretty young when he gets his scar (just past being a cub). In “The Lion Guard,” however, he’s older/young adult (already has his mane, etc.)
