Sorry for the two parts but I think there's a great lesson in Lan Zhan's parents' story. It is sort of a foreshadow of how Lan Zhan wished to take Wei Wuxian back to Gusu to hide him. He would have followed his father's path, find a house and locked Wuxian away from the world and lock himself away so as to repent for the misdeeds according to the Lan rules. It seems the Lan men are suckers for love.

So just in case you guys want to know specifically; for the episodes of The Untamed's anime version, Mo Dao Zu Shi, there are 35 actual episodes in total, with 3 seasons (I'm saying "actual" episodes because there are some prequel episodes which basically just provides aditional context). Each episode is roughly around 23-25 minutes long, and a few episodes are about 28-30 minutes long.
