Usually, this show has its lighthearted moments and jokes, but it's never in a full episode like this. It was enjoyable, almost like a slice of life tbh. But it's also cool how it teases characters and stuff that happens in the next arc and builds up some more mysteries with existing characters, like with Betty mentioning her "mother." As you said, it was a nice interlude. I hope they do another one of these in the future!

In the previous part to this episode Nate mentioned wanting to get an espresso machine, I'd recommend a moka pot instead. They are the most inexpensive way to get good everyday espresso. Put that money toward great quality beans and an electric grinder. You won't be disappointed. At the end of the day espresso is the brewing method of pressurized steam through a coffee ground filter and the machine won't make much difference until you get into the professional grade "probably gonna need a plumber to hook this up to the houses water" type of machine. At least from what I understand and what I've experienced. Maybe I'm wrong though. Bialetti baby!
