for the promised neverland, the manga continued and was actually great, it ended pretty well too. However, with the anime's 2nd season, they really dropped the ball and went with their own story, but still included a messy combination of parts of the manga that on their own could have lasted for seasons after. It's a real shame that it went the way it did.
