Hello everyone.

I have recently been studying lighting in order to improve my ability to express light. As a practice, I tried to create a live music club atmosphere using Unity.

This is a real-time video using Unity's HDRP.

The stage is also a 3D model here. → https://skfb.ly/oxu7U

The lighting is placed based on the 3D model, just like in a real live music venue. HDRP has a "Volumetric Lighting" feature that can be used to create this lighting.

I do not have much technical knowledge about stage lighting, so I did a lot of research and thought about the best type and placement of lights.

↑Front lighting.

↑Lighting illuminates the auditorium.

↑Lighting from the side.

↑Lighting from behind.

These lights were combined to create an animation.

Not only 3D characters, but also 2D characters can be used to create a very nice atmosphere.

In the future, we may be able to do live concerts with 2D characters.

So that was the story of my recent study of lighting. I may write a more technical story as a separate article.

How do you use 3D models with Shoost? Well, I'm assuming this isn't related to Shoost...

Hello, the only way to display a 3D model in Shoost is to use "Window Capture" or "Spout Capture" to capture a 3D screen that is running in another software.
