One of the things I get requests for most is SFW content that people can just listen to in the background while they're working/studying/doing whatever. But there are only so many content ideas to go around, right?


So why not do a chill stream instead?


What's a chill stream, you may ask?


Well, it's a stream where the game is super easy-going (not a loud, guns-blazing, high-energy game), the streamer just chats quietly about the game and other random things, keeps their voice low and gentle, and is basically there as background noise.


In my previous life, I used these types of streams quite a bit if I had heavy brain work to do, as it was nice to just have something in the background that was calming but wasn't music (I get distracted by music unfortunately). Plus, when I started working from home, it was a nice way to feel like someone else was in the room. Not necessarily interacting with me or pulling my focus from what I was trying to do, but just there.


So we're going to give this a shot and see how it goes. I'll be streaming directly on Discord for this one, but if that proves problematic, I have a YouTube channel ready, and a Twitch account as well. Either could be used for future streams. I'd like this to be a weekly thing for my Patrons, if it's something you all enjoy.


Now, I know there are quite a few of you who don't use Discord, and I haven't forgotten about you. The streams will be recorded and posted here afterwards. They will be unedited, so they'll be posted pretty quickly. I want everyone to get the same "live" experience, so I'm not doing anything to the recordings before I post them.


The first stream will be Monday, June 6th at 12:30pm EDT. I'll be streaming for roughly 2 hours. I'm going to move around the days and times every week to try to accommodate as many different timezones and schedules as I can.


Chat interaction during these streams is not necessary, so it's totally fine just to hang out and watch/listen. I'll be talking about the game and what I'm doing, and may just randomly talk about whatever, but I won't be taking questions and I won't be actively encouraging the chat. This is about being in the background while you do other things.


I'm just getting ready to start designing my newly re-started island on Animal Crossing New Horizons and that game is fantastic for relaxing with, so that's what I'll be streaming. Who doesn't want to be on a desert island from time to time?
