Just so you know, the letter was blank because it means that you have no intention to speak to the recipient any more. It's often interpreted as a declaration of war, so the Witch Cult sent a fake letter that was blank to cut ties between the Crusch and Emilia faction.

"Elegant!" ...what a great anime, what a great ending episode, what great characters. Subaru is now a certified badass, and no bullshit lazy writing to get there either, just blood sweat and tears. Love how he's completely aware and frank at this point about how self-absorbed and cringeworthy and toxic he often was before, and yet he's not letting it get him down; he's accepting and purposefully embracing his own change and his own positive development. An MC we can get behind! Emilia so freakin' cute, season 2 we really start seeing her story and development though so that'll be great too. Season 2 is even better than Season 1, just as folks are saying.

Chronics

Season 2 is absolutely fire. It is a slower pace but the development and character moments are top tier, and it has some of the best fights in the show.

Arctic

A fun fact about that cloak that Subaru wears in the episode: it is used to disguise the wearer with magic so other people that they do not want to recognize them wont. Emilia wears it in the capitol to stay hidden from the other candidates and subaru acquires it when Emilia dumps him.
