Erza's line is to me a reflection of how she's had to constantly fight for survival and her and her friends happiness since childhood. Constantly fighting never being allowed to relax. She's also had to constantly be the strong one who doesn't show her emotions in the group as everyone relies on her emotionally. She's essentially saying "will I ever be allowed to let my guard down?".
