That was really not the way I imagined the red gryphon emblem

More in line with historic heraldry, having the red gryphon (griffin) rampant (standing on one hind paw, other and both fore paws raised threateningly) to sinister (left), red mascle (hollow diamond) surrounding the gryphon's body but the wings extending beyond to the right. Kind of like the Detroit Red Wings hockey team logo.
