Just wanted to drop in and say, hey, hi, you all are awesome.  I am having so much fun writing Halloween stories and working on horror-themed GIFS.  I am a huge fan of Halloween.  How could I not be?  As a kid, I felt like I wore a mask all year round.  Halloween was a time to actually unmask, play dress up, express parts of me I otherwise felt I had to keep hidden.

And, I love Fall, with the turning of the leaves and the arrival of apple cider and donuts.  There is an actual cider mill where I live, and they serve up old fashioned cider and donuts: Tangy, tart, sweet and cinnamon. All the flavors!  Plus, there is something romantic and timeless about riding through an apple orchard in the fall, seeing the trees heavy with fruit in the softening, golden light of the season .

I feel magic in the air.  There is part of me that wonders if maybe the Celtics had it right in their belief that the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead becomes blurred during this time of year, peaking on October 31st.  Everything just seems infused with other-worldly energy.  It's so close, I feel like if I closed my eyes and reached out, I could touch the other side.
