"I'm writing the worst plushie TF story ever." - Cerine Hero, 2022

As promised/warned, a fantasy story! I came up with a new PF2 character and wanted to write a story about his backstory. For a long time I've wanted to play a quadrupedal wolf or fox character in a tabletop game and finally figured out a good in-game-rules way to do it. And this character came about!

Life is average for this typical, run-of-the-mill red fox -- aside from the unintelligible whispers he hears from time to time. But an unlucky encounter with a hunting party renders him far less typical...

Content Warning: This story involves animal death, and the tone ranges from dark to surreal, in contrast to many of my other works.
