I tried out a different blending mode for the flat colours, "Hard Light", and I really liked how it let the background colour through.

I did some light shadows with the airbrush, erased where I wanted a hard edge. On another layer, I put hard edge shadows with a harder brush

With Lilya's hair, I went in with darker purples to get her shadows, drawing in strokes that show direction of the hair.

The red arrows show the rough shape/direction of the hair highlights I put in with a small hard brush.

Using a custom sprinkly brush, I put freckles on the skin, mainly where the sun would hit. i.e. top of the cheeks and nose, shoulders, etc

After that I used a soft eraser to help them blend in with the skin a bit, and repeated these steps with some "white freckles".

Red arrows show the main areas I put soft highlights on the skin. Harder edge highlights where the bones of the hips meet the skin!

And we're done! Just a simple one panel page for page 14. End scene! We'll get back to Lusty next page!
