Shifting Focus + Assets Release Announcement (Patreon)

Hey Everyone!

We've received lots of incredible feedback this last month. Thank you to all of you who voted in our polls or messaged us directly to share your thoughts!

In direct response to this feedback we are choosing to postpone The Atlas of Rong'lu - Dwarven Waste I and all further installments indefinitely. Our reasoning for this postponement is threefold:

1. It's been made clear to us that the vast majority of you are here exclusively for our map content. Therefore, we want to put forth our full effort into making maps, developing assets, and improving our techniques!

2. We feel that our current model doesn't give us time to fully hash out our writing & narrative ideas (and more often than not interferes with map creation) and we want our world to be as developed and multi-faceted as we can manage!

3. Such frequent worldbuilding has also been eating into our engagement energy. A lot of our best work has been a result of community-led ideas, and we want to honor that. With this shift in focus you can expect more opportunities to voice your opinion and inform our work!

To compensate for the shift, we'll release an extra bonus map pack this month. We will also make our original Dungeondraft assets available for personal use to Jeronian Fortune Finders and up within the next couple weeks.

The rest of our page will remain the same! This increased flexibility may grant us the ability to release even more maps in future months, something we've wanted to do for a long time now!

Simultaneously, we will be working on developing our world at a slower pace, detached from Patreon tiers. Our plan right now is to work towards a Silmarillion-style compilation of short stories that explore unique and/or tragic events in the sci-fantasy genre. Yunkan Ambassadors and Moltanian Magnates will still receive occasional updates in the form of in-progress writings, world ideas, etc.

If anyone feels slighted as a result of this rather abrupt change, please reach out to us directly and we will refund you for the month of October. Thank you for your understanding. We'll be sending out a direct message similar to this post to make sure everyone gets the information!
