Lurzian Homestead - The Hidden Mine (Patreon)

As Alvoshian settlers in Lurzia, Jinyor and Ne'vin were relieved to find a fertile plot guarded by a remote forest - the symbol of protection in their native culture. The lovers wasted no time making a home of their new land. As they developed their homestead, Ne'vin discovered a large deposit of fluorescent crystal beneath the soil, sparking a search for more like it. Soon, Jinyor and Ne'vin amassed a fortune from trading the crystals, though they always kept their source a secret. Unfortunately, the couple underestimated the depravity of their business associates.

As they rested one evening, a group of hired mercenaries descended upon the farm. With an arrow through the window, they killed Ne'vin while she read. Then they stormed the house and tortured Jinyor in an effort to find out their source. Jinyor sensed that her partner had died and accepted the same fate without revealing their secret.

Even still, it didn't take long for the band of thugs to find the mine entrance, hidden under a rug behind Ne'vin's chair. They set up shop harvesting the crystal and now take any curious passerby as prisoner. To this day they continue their cursed business - perhaps they shall face justice at the hand of some righteous adventurers, but only fate will tell.
