Hello all! Just a little update for everyone on how things are going here. I've seen recently that Patreon changed how the "followers" system works on the site, for those that haven't used it before following a creator allows you to see any of their public posts in your feed and used to show posts that where locked behind the creators tiers (giving you the option to join that tier to see the posts content).

Sadly it seems that now they have been changed to what Patreon calls "Free Members". This works the same as the followers used to however they no longer see any posts from any of the creators they follow that aren't free public posts. This means that they don't even get a blurred preview of a tier locked post (like you can see if you're not logged in and go to a creators individual page).

So what does this mean? Basically it means that I will now have to start creating a censored preview for content posts her so that the free followers know when an update they might like to checkout has been posted. Currently there is no way to hide these public previews from paying members and preventing them from cluttering up your feed page.

I hope that Patreon will either revert how followers used to work or at the very least let us control whether paying tiers are shown the public posts. It would be very nice if a free preview option was added to single post instead of having to create them separately so that followers see the preview while members see the full thing.

TLDR: Going forward there will be a censored preview post put out shortly before the full post to deal with Patreons changes to how followers work.
