Hi everybody. I would like to ask for your opinion on something I am currently working on.

As you may be aware of if you've been following my updates, I am currently writing and researching a number of high profile video game leaks for a long form Game History Secrets video game documentary on the subject. These will include hackings of certain companies, accidental leaks by company employees and more. One that I am considering adding in there is one I was involved with personally, which was the leaks of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle for the Nintendo Switch.

Some long time patrons may recall that from 2016-2017, I was one of the first people to share details (and eventually art) from the then unannounced project by Ubisoft. The game was subject to all manner of leaks, culminating in me sharing gameplay details and art from the game. I also hid a piece of art from the game as my profile picture on Twitter, which nobody seemed to notice until after the game leaked fully.

My question to you is: should I cover this topic in the video?

I have gone back and forth on this in my mind. Initially, I wasn't planning to, but everyone I have spoken to on the topic has encouraged me to talk about it because it was something I have plenty of knowledge of. I will put it to you the viewers to help me decide. Please let vote accordingly and let me know your thoughts in the comments!

I think you should talk about it, as you will surely be able to bring a unique perspective on the matter (and how subsequent coverage may have distorted the facts in the cultural memory) – given your direct involvement!

I voted no, but honestly it's more because as a Patreon listener for a few years, I've already heard much of this story. the twitter pic thing is really funny in retrospect, didn't think a thing of your profile pic until you said so lol
