Monster Hunter World still used the old MT Framework Engine. This was a reason why some larger Monster could not work in MHW. The calculation on the uneven ground killed the framerate, when large monsters had most parts of their body on the ground. That Capcom ports their RE-Engine to Switch is a sign that this is their new cookie cutter Engine for all their projects. I am really excited for Monster Hunter on Switch. I hope the rumors about a Switch Pro are somewhat true. Would love to play again a portable MonHun with almost 60 FPS. Like Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on the New Nintendo 3DS.

Couldn’t agree more with Dan in regards to Jim Ryan. I don’t mean to rank the 7 figure businessmen, but at least Phil Spencer seems to have an interest in the hobby on a personal level. I’ve been soured on Jim Ryan ever since he questioned why anybody would want to play PS1 and PS2 games because he thought they were ugly or whatever. Kind of a weird own-goal for the brand you represent lol.

Ah yes you are correct. It did run on MT Framework. I don't know why that slipped my mind.
