You may have heard the news that Larian Studios have put up a teaser site for a new game, showing a 'III' logo. This has understandably lead to speculation that Baldur's Gate III is on its way. I wanted to throw my hat into the ring to share my thoughts on these suggestions since I've recently intercepted some rumours relevant to this.

A source familiar with Larian claims that Baldur's Gate III is indeed in development and will be revealed shortly. One rumour indicates that it could be unveiled on June 6th during a Google Stadia presentation. These rumours claim that Baldur's Gate III will be available on PC and Stadia first, followed by console releases further down the line. I've heard that BGIII may open the show, although that is obviously subject to change.

I'm currently hearing that the as-of-yet-unconfirmed Stadia presentation is planned to start at 5PM BST on June 6th, kicking off a busy month before E3 just days later. Google is planning to unveil its current slate of games for the service, including some fully original and exclusive content from known developers.

Anyway, take all of this with a pinch of salt as always since it is all rumour at the end of the day and certain details (particularly the event time) could still shift until they're set in stone by Google.

Thanks again for your support and I may release further updates on this and other rumours as we head into E3 if people would like to hear my thoughts.

- Liam

Small update:

The date and time of the Stadia presentation has just been confirmed by Google themselves. I can only assume that the other details regarding BGIII are also correct.
