Alright guys! We are now onto the last part for the outfit for pirate Sora, here I will be telling you my process on how I went about making all the other aspects of this cosplay!

BOOTS

First I took some stuffing and placed it atop my base boot ( I got the base boots from goodwill but any base boot should be fine! ). I covered the fluff in saran wrap to help it cling down to the boot, this would be the top core of our shoes!

Afterwards I took clear packing tape and began wrapping the shoes with it to make sure the fluff did not move out of place! I made sure to use saran wrap first because I did not want the tape attaching to the fluff and squishing it more than needed.

I ran out of clear tape and so I had to use what I had, duct tape lol! I taped over the entire boot with this, the reason we are doing this is so that we can make a pattern for the boot! Once your boot is completely taped over, go ahead and start drawing on the pattern from Soras shoes!

Peel the tape off of your boots and begin cutting out the patterns you drew on and ta dah, you have the perfect pattern for your shoes! With curved edges like the middle pattern, be sure to cut in darts in those three locations, that way your fabric will curve naturally. Best part about using tape for your mock up patterns is that you can just slap them onto the fabric and can cut out your fabric asap, no pinning needed!

Now it is time to attach everything! I used contact cement in order to keep the fabric attached to my boots and it hold up rather well! If you have another apoxie you thing is stronger than by all means use it, this is just worked for me! I covered each part with a layer of the glue and then took sewing pins and pinned the patterns into place and let the glue dry overnight!

For the boot flap I did the exact same thing I did for the cuffs on the coat! Made a pattern that looked like the above picture, added a trim of some extra black suede I had to the bottom and sewed it down to the top of the boot!

Its not a KH design without some belts! I had these leftover from my KH3 Riku pants, so I died them black with some leather stain and used the contact cement to glue these down to the boots!

And with that the boots were done!

For the belt I ordered this base one here!  And then began the process of repainting/texturing it! I used a mix of gold and tan colors to get the color at the bottom of the belt! The color ontop is what it was before painting. I use basic acrylic paints for this.

I took some gold rub n buff and a very thing small brush and painted on the gold border after my belt base was done! And that's all you need to do for the belt.

Then you can just slide on the belt buckle we made earlier! Here is the tutorial on how to make this belt buckle!

Onto the bandanna! This was a lot easier than I thought it would be ahaha. In order to make the base triangle shape for your bandanna all you have to do is start with a LARGE square of your pattern then fold it into a triangle and from there take one end of your fabric and begin rolling it up a few times and that's it! you have the base for your bandanna. The ends of the bandanna are rather long, so I made these two patterns above to helps extend the length a bit! Just sew them wrong way up and flip them inside out and attach them to the base!

After all the sewing is done I then weathered the entire thing, I promise I will have a tutorial on how to weather!! Essentially all you are doing is taking brown paints and rubbing it into sections where it would realistically get more dirty (around the sames, edges, random marks inside the borders, etc.)! After you are done weathering it you are pretty much done with this part! Just make sure you make the initial square large enough so your wig also fits under it!

The Pirate hat is the one thing I did not make from scratch (asides the belt lol) I bought this base one here  and gave it an entire new paint job by using this spray paint! This spray paint is okay to use on fabric, I have done it multiple times, it has a latex additive which make the paint bend and move with fabric freely and does not chip off. Once the hat was coated with the black paint I took some grey/tan paint and weather the hat all over as well! For the crown I took some grey pleather I had leftover from my KH3 Sora cosplay and attached it to the hat with contact cement!

And with that the hat was done and my cosplay was complete!! I hope something in this tutorial will help you with your own cosplay, whether it be Pirate Sora or something else! Next week I will talk about how I did the keyblade!
