Id like bleach or one piece , lot of super hot waifus and interesting worlds , bleach has an higher power level , probably even higher then dxd , one piece has a more interesting world tho ,even if a heavenly dragon level entity can steam roll through it probably

Or you could also try to modify one piece power levels to make people like the yonkos or admirals world destroyers

Mm, while I like both worlds, they both have a incredibly simple overall story line and the only reason they lasted longer then 2 seasons is because of both filler chapters and smaller side arcs. However, fanfics tend to focus on the main story and briefly mention side arcs as they happen. For bleach it’d boil down to a lot political crap about the structure of current soul society being garbage, hueco mundo, and finally deciding how to deal with the big war between Quincy and the Soul King. Spice it with a bit of the side arcs and meet some of the people from them then moving on. One piece has the same issue with the general main story being about finding the One Piece and over throwing the corrupt officials and reforming the marines, fluffed with island vacations to explore a bit and saving some beauties along the way. Also I doubt bleach has a higher power level then DXD does. Maybe the world/realm that the Soul King originally came from, but that was only briefly mentioned in the series and not much to go off of for a fanfic. Hmmm a world with a higher power… kinda difficult. I mean DBZ would be good for that but… well I loved the series but the world building was eh in that one and power levels all over the place. Maybe a mash up of different worlds would work?

One piece has one of the most complex storylines of all shonen fictions , saying that the story boils down to just finding the one piece is like saying that dxd storyline boils down to issei wanting to become an harem king . Also bleach does have stronger power levels then dxd , obviously I’m just talking about the strongest beings , Yamamoto alone can destroy the world just by activating his bankai and he isn’t even the strongest, bleach has a conceptual power level , dxd is just pure physical strength and magic , as an example great red would die against jua Bach simply because his power is to literally give back every single bit of damage he receives in equal amount through his shield ,same with most quinces and many shinigamis

While none of these would be particularly good for leveling up, he still has the ability to jump back to Danmachi to grind in the dungeon’s lower floors (which after changes you made to the dungeon could be as deep and infinite as you want). So, I will be suggesting other worlds to just explore and have fun in if you want to write about em. World of Warcraft (I will always suggest this as I wait for a good fanfic author to pick it up and work some magic) Harry Potter (because Luna Lovegood, always good to have a pocket diviner on hand) Tokyo Ghoul (eh, worth a shot) Diablo Series (because I remember reading a fic that used it as a lvling station and it turned out really good) Zelda series (hot blonde princess ftw? Oh and link could be a cool silent bro that is inordinately addicted to smashing pots, barrels, and cutting long grass) Metroid series (same as above but a kick ass space marauder) Trials in Tainted Space (Heh, if you know you know. For variety reasons.)

Mmm, but Trihexa can do the same as Yamamoto without breaking a sweat where as Yamamoto would likely expire from over use trying to do so. Then there is also the world that Issei’s breast power came from which have even higher beings then even Trihexa. Also Ywach is both the son and a piece of the Soul King who came from another world dubbed the “god realm” originally so both are exceptions from the general populace. Also as seen that reflect shield has limitations as well. For example, having high enough vitality to both withstand the reflect dmg and enough strength to overpower the shield… both of which dragons are known for (not to mention Big Red who is the dragon god of dreams and could easily avoid the shield entirely by attacking him through his dreams). I am not belittling one piece or bleach either. One piece was always more about the journey instead of the final goal which is why the main story is considered relatively simple while it tells multiple smaller stories along the journey. Which in its case is a perfectly good thing but using it for a fanfic, unless you plan to insert the mc into every little story it quickly boils down to a plot of handling corruption up top and crime below. For bleach it is really similar except in canon besides tons of fight scenes it was mostly telling the background stories and side stories of the numerous characters introduced. Sure that seems like I am overly simplifying it but same time it isn’t entirely untrue. DXD isn’t much better in that regards but it does focus more on the actions of the different factions as a whole, including character background stories, fluff and everything else while also leaving itself open eternally for future expansion.

Danmachi has been quite fun and light hearted, I feel we need something more serious to keep things interesting. Fate comes to mind, Beserk of Gluttony, Bleach, Strike the Blood, Mushoku Tensei, Seraph of the End, just to name a few. Depending on how you handle Irregular at the Magical High School world, that series has some potential to.
