I don't normally post these 3D mockups but I do quite often share them privately with friends. As always I use Design Doll to plan out and pose my pictures, which presents a few minor challenges that have to be dealt with by hand.

Specifically, its always awkward to convey weight because there is none.

I want to show their breasts swilling into her hand and her soft fingers sinking to soft boob meat, but that doesn't happen when the 3d models clip through each other -which makes hand placement really awkward. But then once you have them in place, they may still not look right based on the angle -OR- they may only look good from that angle.

This is part of the trickery that goes down. With this picture the camera is positioned to get the effect that I wanted, but if I were to move it, it would look like she's contorted weird or about to fall over. And this only compounds with perspective which rather generously distort angles and even fake the focus to achieve the affect I want. But that all goes to show that this doesn't necessarily make things "easier"

The I'm trading some of the loose fluidity of illustration for more precise control over shape and posture. And at the same time I'm lots of structural sketch work time for lots of finicky 3D work that breaks if you don't know what you're doing.
