The black parade is a concept album and the bands alter ego and yes their peak and most popular song but definitely didn’t come out of nowhere their album three cheers also did incredibly well and they were one of the first alternative “emo” bands to go mainstream in the 2000’s ; also they are semi active bc they did a tour and r doing when we were young festival next year but that’s rlly all

Love that you're reacting to MCR! So many great songs. They're still around but not as active anymore but they were so iconic in the pop/punk world when I was younger. The lead singer is the writer of the Umbrella Academy comic books and is an executive producer on the Netflix adaptation so I think he's been focused on other projects for a while.
