i can't wait for you guys to see this is us, i feel like that documentary will really show you a softer side of zayn and his personality. they even talk about how zayn really is just a big softie and i think it will really help you appreciate him more as a person opposed to an artist.

It was 1 am when you did the live stream (it's midnight again 😭), but I just finished watching it. Thank you so much for continuing this ❤️ I've only been here for a few months, but I just wanted to contribute to the zayn "debate". I'll start with the fact, that his goal isn't to be a "star" in the usual sense of the word. He doesn't promote his music anymore, doesn't like to do interviews, etc. He just drops an album or single without letting people know 😂 it's a whole thing, it's hilarious. I love him and his music but I understand where you stand with him based on the (non-)information you have about the topic. I feel uncomfortable commenting and sharing my thoughts altogether about anything so I guess that's why I understand zayn's anxiety to a degree. Your reactions never bothered me either and that's why I didn't think it was necessary to contribute, but I wanna give some context and there is a first time for everything, right? I don't really wanna bore you with the details and why I think he has lost the passion for performing live, but even you mentioned that maybe it was the editing. And I agree. They all had a role in the band and zayn's duty was to be the mysterious-cool-guy-bad-boy (which he is). There was a lot of racism (eg. accusing him of 9/11 and other terrorist attacks) in the written and broadcast media as well; when he had anxiety and ED, there were rumors of drug usage; and when the video of him and Lou smoking a joint leaked, he took the fall for both of them. Now if you put it together with not wanting to be in the band (even though he loved the boys) you can understand why he left and couldn't do it anymore. With him leaving, the image the media created for him only cemented itself more - and he can't seem to shake it to this day. I won't go into too much detail again, but let's just say Yolanda didn't have the best interest at heart when she went over to where he lived (while Gigi was away, without invitation) with a bodyguard who conveniently would become the 'witness'. Claiming he "hit" her, just so a week later it changed to "push" and then finally filed a police report for verbally assaulting her. He didn't plead guilty to the charges, he denied it and pleaded no contest just to make it easier on his daughter. Now he's out from under house arrest, traveling and preparing to release new music, posting and being happy :) This got longer than expected and I hope this made a little sense, and tbh I would have written something like this as a note at some point anyway when I decided what song to request from him 😂 Honestly, I want to give you the interview he had with zane low (the guy who did the FL and HH long interviews with Harry) but I'm not sure how you'd enjoy it. TLDR; the band wasn't his cup of tea and it came with a lot of shit; the media is easily manipulated; it's also still racist and prejudiced; it's OK not to like his music, just keep the reactions coming I really enjoy them regardless of your biases ❤️

hey, would like to add the bit where zayn said "no comment" to the question that said "what would you do if you were a girl for a day?", wasn't because of any religious beliefs, but just that the answer would've been too inappropriate for the younger audience, which is why you can see the rest of the boys laughing. They had their fair share of hooking up with groupies while they were in the band that zayn was also a part of. Just something i wanted to enlighten you guys on :)

THANK YOU. I'll go a step further and say the charges against him were also full of shit. You also have a scene in part one where he's being told, tonight's the bad night. 24 cameras. and you just see him shrink into himself! The kid had terrible anxiety from jump and you get the vibe that he stayed to help his family. None of us will ever know what happened to him, or why he "left".

idk if you've been informed yet but the singer Bebe Rhexa that got hit on the head actually has a whole song collabed with louis, back to you :) but they did also get a lot of phones and harry's been hit a ton and in the eye.
