We figured this would be a popular one, so here it is!  Complete with ridiculous dancing and light shenanigans.  Enjoy!

This was great! Please do the voice memos! It’s basically her writing these songs

By the time you finish (if you haven’t already figured it out) you will understand why it was so huge. From Wikipedia: “At the 58th Grammy Awards in 2016, 1989 won Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, making Swift the first female solo artist to win Album of the Year twice. In the US, 1989 spent 11 weeks atop the Billboard 200 and was certified ninefold platinum the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It also earned multi-platinum certifications in Australia, Canada, and the UK, and has sold over 10 million copies worldwide.”

The Ryan dance was even more epic than his classic English teacher rants. But when spinning Nathan started to dance with his dog, I just couldn't stop laughing. You guys always put me in a good mood. I've been listening to 1989 at least weekly for 9 years, I'm still waiting for the day I get tired of Shake It Off, not sure if it will ever happen. This albums has no skips for me, it's up there as my only Taylor album in my top 5 favorite albums.

And honestly the dog dancing by both of you was priceless. But that is the power of Shake It Off. There is something about that song that no matter who or where you are you have to move. I have been in stores etc and it has come on and people are unconsciously singing and bopping. It’s like magic. It might not have the depth of lyrics that a lot of her songs have and be a bit repetitive but it is definitely happy music.

Loved the Shake It Off shenanigans! And, I’ve gotta say, Ryan in a black shirt, hubba hubba. 😂 There is one song that I’m not 100% on and may skip sometimes, “How You Get the Girl”, but never “Shake It Off”. 🫶

Hey all, such a fun reaction, can't wait for part 2. I completely get not wanting to hear different versions of the songs, but the 3 bonus voice memos are actually taylor giving a sneak peek into how the songs were made. It would be fun if you guys decided to react to them, but obviously this is not a demand or anything, just think you might find it interesting. 1989 was such a change in the Pop genre and is still the most awarded pop album of all time. This is also the album that gave Taylor Swift her 2nd album of the year grammy (the 1st grammy for album of the year was Fearless from 2008) It's so funny that you all started dancing to shake it off because Taylor said in an interview that she wanted Shake It Off to be that one song that no one could help but dance to. This was her direct quote “I want it to start off and the second the song starts, I want it to be the song where, like, if it’s played at a wedding and there’s this one girl who hasn’t danced all night at the reception, all her friends come over to her and they’re like, ‘You have to dance! Come on! You have to dance on this one!’ That’s what I wanted.”

You know, How You Get The Girl grew on me so much especially after the tour. Every time it would come on I would think back on the performance and just become so happy and energetic that I started to love it. Of course this is coming from me, a girl who also loves Stay x3 and ME! LOL so yeah

This is the album where I realized Taylor swift is a prodigy and my mind was blown. I loved Taylor before this album but never actually did a deep dive into her previous work. This did it for me and I began going back through each album only to have my mind freak out. Truly the moment I became a “A Swifty”. Ill add that my favorite songs are Clean and Out of the Woods and I still listen to them today. Pure pop perfection.
