Billie was home schooled and trained a lot in music by her parents. They learned her and Finneas a lot about song writing. They are still a very close family. I had the same reaction as you, so glad young people are listening to this. I watched a lot of reactions to the title track of "Happier than ever" when it came out. It was suprising to many of her young fans and me 😊 Don't want to spoil more for your. Made me listen to the rest of the album and look her up more and I adore her. In my humble opinion, she is fresh and eccentric and unique. Taylor Swift has learned all the tricks of the trade and now she uses them.. Very consciously. That's how I feel about it. Billie also directs all her own music videos. Hint hint nudge nudge 😉

I think most people who join your Patreon probably do so because they love a particular artist you're reacting to. For me, that was Taylor Swift. But I cannot tell you how excited I am that you are reacting to Kelly Clarkson now. The vocals in her live performances are really something special.
