One thing, you guys talked about her stripping back Dancing With Our Hands Tied, and if it'll ever be changed when it's "copyright free" music, and it already has been! Wildest Dreams had an orchestral version on Bridgerton season 1! It's gorgeous! Look What You Made Me Do also has a dark and creepy male cover featured on Killing Eve (rumored to be sung by her younger brother Austin) that's really impressive. Just further showcases how her productive can shift around with her solid lyrics and melodies. Thank you code name witchxx and Liam for these requests! I think you hit the nail on the head with whether you guys picked a good jumping point. Here's my 2 cents: it wasn't until Folklore and Evermore came out that there was like 💡 moment where *everyone* universally acknowledged her writing skills. And suddenly, so many people that had self-excluded themselves from her "target demographic" gave her a chance and went "holy shit, she can write!" went back and gave her other stuff a chance and realized that the writing was always there, hidden under the production. That's why the demand for tour tickets broke records. And it's not "midnights tour" it's the ERAS tour. She's absolutely genius for this, because there's a whole new set of people that wish they had been fans back in the day to hear the older songs live. I've been a fan since the beginning, but she's at the top of her game for me, hands down. And can I just say, its so damn nice (as a fan) to hear people freely admit they like Taylor?! I don't care when people join(ed) the bandwagon, we're all fans here, but its nice to not feel like the only one on it.

Amanda, SO well said and you described me (almost) to a tee. I'm an older fan who loved country Taylor. From Tim Mcgraw and Love Story (genius) to seeing her debut Begin Again on the VMA's, which I thought was absolutely beautifully done, she had quickly become one of my favorite artists. Not being a big country fan, I wasn't one of those who got upset when she announced she was going full pop. Then, she debuted "Shake it Off" on the VMA's and I thought OMG she's limitless! Well, nor am I a big fan of pop (I'm more of a rocker dude), so I kinda lost touch. Then came the absolute genius that is "Folklore". Not having heard it, I watched Long Pond and kicked myself for what I had been missing out on. I went back and listened to all her stuff and her lyrics, with a pop beat behind them or not, are second to absolutely no one. I'm sure there are millions of "new" fans just like me adding to her mega stardom. For those Welpers who may just beginning their Taylor fandom I HIGHLY recommend the two VMA videos I mentioned above. Begin Again https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9uf-Gv_9r0 and Shake it Off (wouldn't Ryan and Nathan love that one :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmLRDdcqE0U

I agree completely, Folklore/Evermore were the stereotype breakers for sure. Awesome because she is now more widely appreciated and respected by the populus and media, but it also sort of sucks cuz it's going to be VERY hard for her og fans to get a concert ticket to future projects 😋

I LOVE this so much, and I'm so happy for those who found their way back to Taylor's music... I've said for years that Taylor has a genre or an album for everyone (and I'm 100% sure that it just sounds like me stanning, but I truly believe it), and for so many, Folklore and Evermore tickled their brains *just* right, illuminating her strengths and cementing her brilliance. I'm gonna give those videos you linked a watch, not sure I've seen either before!

Yeah, definitely sucks to try to get tickets these days (can confirm-- I waited 7.5 hours in queue before I secured mine via presale), but I have a feeling that something will give, and future tours will be organized differently. I have no interest in trying to gatekeep her music though-- the more people that love her and stream/listen, the more people I can talk to about how much I enjoy her music 🤷‍♀️

Taylor actually has this thing her fans do, which is recreating her songs under different albums. You can go on YouTube and find cardigan remixed with reputation, or maroon sounding like folklore. We all love changing the genre of her songs and do it very often, because Taylor was the first to do it. So many of her live versions of songs are the complete opposite of her recorded versions. Also Amanda is right. During covid I think a lot of people started reactions channels, reacted to Taylor and became fans. Or watched these videos and became fans. I think her fanbase increased exponentially during this time. People of all ages, and honestly, as a 15 year long Taylor fan it really just warms my heart to see so much love for Taylor these past 3 years. She really deserves it.
