Content

In the background I've been talking with some of the people who have submitted content to the game in the past.  Trying to organize something for next month.  I thought I'd get you all in on the conversation, or at least give you some say in how we progress.

With the holidays fast approaching again, I want to start adding holiday themed content to the game again.  Right now, we've got Halloween just a little under two months away.  I've had three thoughts on what I'd like to do, but one of them I'm tabling until next year just because there's no way we'd get everything done in time otherwise.

What we're thinking about:

Trick-or-Treat:
I've been thinking about doing a bit of content where you can take Eve out trick or treating.  Something where you can go door to door with her in costume and have different scenes pop up.

Festival:
We've been talking about doing a festival in town for Halloween, a place with games and rides and all that kind of stuff.  One of our regular writers has offered to help out with this some.  There's been talk of a haunted house.

Handing out candy:
The third option, and one that I see as lowest priority coming into this would be to hand out candy at the mansion, maybe setting up near the gate and giving candy to kids that might pass by.  I think this would be a cute way to showcase Anna during the holiday.  That said, I feel like the other two offer so much more to the holiday, at least at first, that I won't be working on this one this year unless everything goes PERFECTLY and I find myself with MUCH more time on my hands than I expected.

The situation:
So, the situation I find myself in is this:  If the festival content comes through, then I'm going to have to build the framework for that on my end.  That's not particularly difficult work, but it IS time consuming work.  However, once that framework is ready, I'm less certain of where I should shift my time.  I think Eve trick or treating could be adorable.  At the same time, the festival offers opportunity for other characters to shine as well.

At this point, the question becomes: Do I create trick or treat content for Eve?  Do I focus instead on the Festival.  Or do I focus the bulk of the next 6 weeks worth of Inheritance work on the holiday, ignoring other parts of the game while I try to get something substantial into the game for both?

No matter the choice made here, I'll be trying to tie up loose ends this week before moving into the Halloween content.
