This last week I worked on Last Stand of Ra.  Made some good progress setting up the sandbox element of the starting area and we'll be moving into the story driven content in the next couple of builds.  Very exciting stuff and I'm looking forward to getting to share the game with everyone!

The woman before you demands your attention without a word, without even a look in your direction.  After a second, she turns, her tanned face has an exceptional beauty to it, her long dark hair flowing down past her shoulders in a rippling wave that reaches half way down her back.

When she turns toward you, her gaze is enough to take your breath away.

Hathor, so this is what an Egyptian goddess looks like.

Her eyes drift closed and in an instant she looks tired, "Much has changed in these recent days.  A man, unlike anyone I have ever known, came from the sky.  His name is Ra, and he has been named the God of the Sun for that is where he comes from."

In the blink of an eye her expression takes on a fierceness, "He has brought with him wonders unlike anything we have ever seen before.  People flock to see him, I have never seen so many people before in my life.  Homes are being built, temples raised,"  Her eyes bore into yours, "And the pyramids, such a thing I could never imagine before, they will be such a wonder to look upon."

She pauses, the faintest hint of fear creeping into her eyes, "Ra tells me that the pyramids are to protect us, that there is something coming, something so terrible that in spite of his power, that he does not believe he can defeat it."

After a few seconds, a faint smile pulls at the corner of her lips, "Sometimes, he takes on the form of a falcon.  I think he likes the form, I sometimes see him soaring high in the sky, looking down on us."

Her smile turns wistful before fading, "I wonder, when he looks at us, what is it that he sees?"

Closing her eyes, she takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly.  When her eyes open again, she turns and strides away like a force of nature.
