Wanted to give you guys some fair warning on what is coming over the holidays.

Got some family stuff going on this weekend.  Not sure yet how that will affect my ability to work on things, but given that I don't usually work the weekends, it shouldn't be too big of a deal.  Worst case scenario is that I'm just unresponsive for a couple of days.

Next Weekend.  This is going to be the bad one.  Thursday, I'll be leaving to spend time with the in-laws.  My intent is to release the new build of Wanton Cove in the morning, but then I'll be MIA for the following few days.  Soonest I'd be likely to return is Saturday evening, but more likely it would be Sunday. This has the potential to be disruptive on the grounds that I'll be posting a new build before leaving, and I won't have access to the internet when I return, so I wont have a chance to deal with any reported bugs until I return.

Around Christmas, weather permitting I plan to make a road trip to see my family for Christmas.  The result will be that I'm going to have about a week of down time where I'm not going to have much time to post.  The plan right now will be that I'll be gone for about eight days, two days on each side of that will be me on the road with limited or no internet, and the four days at my parents place will be focused largely on time with family.

I'll be sure to post updates and reminders as each of those times gets closer.

Now, back to work on Wanton Cove. Going to see about knocking out a couple of smallish scenes today.

What? You have a life outside? Say it isn't so! Have a happy holiday(s), eat well, have fun, and come back refreshed.

You're welcome. I refuse to be "that guy" who vanishes for a week at a time then comes back to say it was personal time. I premeditate my vacations. :P

Yeah, unfortunately live provides me with responsibilities outside of writing for all of you wonderful people. I promise to make the most of my time away on those brief occasions and to come back excited work work on these projects once more!

How about taking another week off around christmas time, if you are making the most out of your small holidays there's one thing you aren't doing... resting! So have a week where you make the least out of it ;)

Maybe you are right, but I love to write enough that I doubt I'd be able to convince myself to take that long off all at once though. ;) I have my lazy days (Tuesday was one of them) but I have an obsessive personality which makes it difficult to stay away from something like this for long. How I see it, working through Patreon allows me the best of both worlds. It allows me almost complete freedom in how I make plans (I can wake up in the morning and say "Screw work" and run into town if I want to. I don't need to ask permission from my boss to take the day off. My schedule has almost complete flexibility in when and how I work. So long as I create content for all of you, I can continue supporting my family through my writing.) while actually encouraging me to find as much time as I can for one of my favorite hobbies (Writing). :D How things work right now, I "work" Monday through Thursday every week. Friday is my day with my wife while the kids are at school (Though if she has other responsibilities, then I can easily swap my Wed or Thur work day for Friday instead.) And I can plan my weekends around time with my kids and family (Sneaking off to work on projects when the mood strikes and I can find the time). I've found it to be a good balance for me and my family. I always have time for my family, and at the same time, something that I love to do has become my way to provide for them.
