I promised a new art breakdown this week, so here we go!

This first piece is the concept art that I was sent based on descriptions of Azumi and the scene I commissioned.  The image on the left is for the bust that will be appearing in the game soon.  But we're here to talk about the rest of the sketches today!

The image to the right is the sketch related to the first time you meet Azumi, where she's laying on the bed looking at you while masturbating.  The third image on the bottom is a rough sketch for the room itself with a smaller version of the sketch as a way of giving some context to the scene commissioned.  I requested that the foreground image and the background be done separate on the grounds that there will be additional images done in that room and it saves the artist some work not having to do the background more than once, and me some money so we can afford more art for the game.

I didn't see anything I felt needed changes, but I did mention a few things I wanted to emphasize a bit in the image (Mostly having to do with the room, the type of bed, and other features I thought were important.)

This one is the inked version of the above image.  As you see, not much was changed between the first and second versions.

Once Azumi herself was completed, the artist then went back to the background image and did a detailed sketch.  I'll be honest, I had expected this one to require at least one more revision, but to say this revision was a pleasant surprise would be an understatement.

Now, I never received a room background completed, but the artist sent a "Completed" piece instead.

Honestly, I loved the piece as is, however I felt that Azumi appeared too far away for casual viewing.  I asked the artist to save the large background for future use, but to kind of zoom in a little bit.  I thought it would be important that at least some of the headboard and the window remain in the image.

This was the final version I received.  The artist brought the image in a bit like I had asked and did some touch up work in a few areas.  They took the liberty of adding a few pillows behind Azumi to make her look more comfortable, and I thought that turned out to be a really nice touch.

The final image in this set is the version that you will all be seeing in the next build of Wanton Cove.  Hope that you've enjoyed another art breakdown!

Next up, I'm not completely sure yet.  I was thinking about going back and doing a couple of the earlier pieces that were commissioned, but I may do the busts that haven't yet appeared in the game first.  Guess time will tell!  What I CAN tell you though is that I hope to present another art breakdown some time next week.
