Inheritance Protagonist concept sketch, (Patreon)

Normally I try to reserve sketches and other art for Patrons as a reward, but in this case, I felt it was better to get everyone's opinion on the piece since this could very well become the main character in Inheritance.

Do you NOT like it?  If so, take a moment to say as much below, and say a few words about WHY you don't like it.


The idea is to use this as the main character in the story, then likely add the ability to customize him at a later time.  He wouldn't have the same degree of customization as the girls, but I would like to present clothing options, and possibly hair options eventually.

UPDATE:  It was brought to my attention that I forgot to actually add the art in question to this post.  This has been remedied.

For the game, I'd prefer it in color and shaded, but I think this will work for a young man.

Those are just sketches for samples. They still need to be inked. So yeah, they will be colored in the same fashion as the art for the girls.

It's ok. Perhaps it'll be improved more with coloring and further detailing, but there's nothing particularly special about it. It just looks like a stereotypical anime protagonist. Granted, there's a reason they're drawn that way frequently, as it fits the characters well.

Its true that there's nothing special about the character. That's part of the premise of the situation in the first place. ;) That said, I'd like to eventually allow for some different skin tones, hair colors/styles, and a good range of clothing options to allow the player to fit the character better to the player's tastes.
