Content

Going to be working on this for another hour or so today, but not sure what my evening is going to look like, so I wanted to make my progress report while I still have time (Besides, taking a break right now anyway.)

Managed to write about 4k words of content so far today (That puts us at about 6k for the next update), all related to the latest dream scene (Still have day 6 content to write, but I wanted to write something fun instead of grinding through a bunch of rewrites and some of the other content planned for day 6.  I know, shame on me.).  This one actually has a LOT of variants.  Just the first section breaks down into 8 different versions depending on your Taint and Depravity levels.  And that's before we get to the fun part.  As of right now, I've written the four paths down one of the two major branches of the scene.

I've mentioned an upcoming game from Aftermath Team named Aftermath (Our namesake.)   I've got a little bit to report on this.  We had a really good talk as a team today about the user interface.  We're taking some elements of our original concept as a starting point, then going from there.  All three of us pictured the interface pretty similar, and we're getting in some really great discussion about the things we want to see in our UI.  We've got a tentative layout in place and we're just ironing out details on that front at the moment.  

Once the UI is all in place, ReaperOf666 (Our head coder on the project) will start transferring all of the content we currently have written into the new game engine (The current plan is to use Unity for this project as we feel its going to be easier to use in the long run and offer a more appealing visual experience for players.)

I'll be sure to keep you all up to date as I learn more.  At the moment, I'm acting in an advisory/evil overlord position for the project as my attention is primarily focused on Wanton Cove and Inheritance for the time being.

Been getting a few comments about my terrible spelling lately (And rightly so.) so I've been looking at ways to improve on it.  To date, most of my work has been written directly into twine (The program I make games in) which has no spell check, and when I dont write in that, I write in notepad, . . . which also lacks spell check.  Up to this point, I've fixed spelling errors as they have either been pointed out to me or when I have spotted them, which has resulted in a little improvement, but not as much as I would like.  Today, I downloaded Microsoft Word in the hopes of writing most of my content in that from now on since its both free, and has a spell check function.  Hopefully that will improve the quality of future content.  Now I just need to break myself of the habit of writing directly in Twine.  :P

Now, off for some more caffeine, empty my bladder, then get back to this.  I've got porn to write!  If all goes well, I'll finish up the rest of the scene I started this morning, amounting to probably another 1-2k words of content total.

UPDATE:

Finished up two of the endings to the scene, leaving two to go.  About 2k words between them.  That brings us up to 8k words of new content for the next build with two more endings to go  Will take at least another 1k to finish up the scene I've been working on.


Day is winding down, got more writing done than I had planned (Had hoped for 4k words on the day, managed 6k) though I didn't finish the scene like I had hoped.  On the up side, scenes being bigger than I had planned is never a bad thing.  


Will finish up the scene the next chance I get to write.
