As we continue our push toward build B1 of Inheritance (Probably +/-5 builds out still) I thought I'd share a roadmap of what is planned and where we go once we get there.

Our current roadmap is:

*Get the framework for repeatable threesomes into the game (Working on that right now)

*Generic maids that don't FEEL generic.

*Stat building: Get some scenes into the game that adjust character skill. (Currently they're sparse.)

*Start tying up loose ends (Bring together most of the WIP content in the game, resolving incomplete storylines, bug hunts to handle obscure or low priority issues that have been lingering, etc.)

*Move the game from Alpha to Beta because at that point, we'll have the range of content in the game and I can shift my attention toward filling the game with content. I am working on A95 right now and if all goes well A100 should be B1.

So, when it comes to generic maids that don't FEEL generic, I plan to take a page from Aftermath which I had originally come up with the concept for.

In the coming weeks (And I'm just starting to work on the framework for this now in preparation to start writing for it when work begins on the A96 build) I'll be writing the first personality type for the personality matrix I have planned and inserting it into the game with some basic content. This will give me something to build off of and grow over time.

How is it going to work: I have a list of personality types. Each personality type will have scenes written for it, and some personality combinations will have scenes written for them as well (Example: Someone who is both Shy and Innocent is going to behave differently than someone who is Outgoing and Innocent). NPCs will be generated with the same system that creates babies in the game, with some adjustments to account for age difference and the like. When an NPC is created, the NPC will be assigned 1-3 personality traits (10% will have three traits, 65% will have two traits, 25% will have one. Some will exclude others. Example: Innocent and Slutty won't be assigned to the same NPC because they would contradict each other. Same with Shy and Outgoing.)

So as this personality matrix is filled with scenes, NPCs making use of these scenes will pull from the list of scenes they have personality traits related to.

I will be starting with the Innocent personality type, followed by Shy and Slutty in that order. After that, I'll likely be asking the community what they'd like to see first. The intent will be to get some bare bones Innocent content into the game, follow that with bare bones Shy content with some scenes related to both traits immediately after. That will effectively give us three character types as each trait could be applied individually to a character, but one who pulls both traits will have additional scenes that reflect the combination of those traits. Then adding Slutty will create a third core trait that can be combined with Shy. If Playful was next, that's one that can be combined with any of the three previous ones, etc, etc. In other words, the more personality traits that get added, the more complex NPCs start to become allowing for a larger range of NPCs with more depth to help them stand out.

If any of that makes sense?

Current personality traits:

Average: Will be compatible with everything. They'll be fairly generic scenes.

Defiant: Compatible with Innocent, Slutty, Playful, Outgoing. Kind of person you're going to butt heads with. This is the kind of person who you're going to be at odds with from time to time, will be argumentative and rebellious.

Innocent: Compatible with Defiant, Shy, Playful, Outgoing. This kind of person will see the world through a lens of wonder. Easily embarrassed or shocked.

Outgoing: Compatible with Defiant, Innocent, Slutty, Playful. A people person. Likes to put themselves in social situations.

Playful:Compatible with Defiant, Innocent, Shy, Slutty, Outgoing. These characters want to have fun.

Shy: Compatible with Defiant, Innocent, Slutty, Playful. These characters will be withdrawn, slow to engage with situations without being coaxed into it.

Slutty: Compatible with Defiant, Shy, Playful, Outgoing. These characters will have high libidos. They will seek, or even try to create, sexual situations.

That's seven traits, each with +5 compatible traits, meaning a character with two traitsis going to have about 35 combinations (I think that math is right), in addition to the 7 base traits for npcs with only one trait. And characters with three traits will multiply that number even further.

To be clear, I am 100% open to additional personality traits. If you have ideas, feel free to drop them in the comments.

Short version:  Going to be setting up generic NPCs to have personality traits. Will be starting with Innocent, Shy, Innocent/Shy, Slutty, and Shy/Slutty in that order before deciding where to head next with it.
