Lets start with the poll:

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect from the poll when I posted it.  I knew TFGamesSite would get a big chunk of the vote, but I never imagined that it would be such a staggering percentage.

I'm also a bit perplexed, with the sudden support last month, I'm wracking my mind over where the newcomers came from, and why.  I do have a suspicion though, after all, last month was when we added some art to the game, so its entirely possible that had some bearing on it.  Sounds like a good excuse to run another poll when I have nothing better to post.  ;)

Inheritance:

This is probably the one that has been most on my mind the last couple of days.  Talked with the guy who is helping on the code for this:  They're still plugging away at it, but its in the "Slow and steady" range.    They are still working on the random event stuff (Turns out part of the reason things are taking as long as it is was because I keep writing new content and dropping it in the game, and the coder keeps having to fix my broken code.  Go figure.), and as soon as that is completed I'll see about getting a first real build out to you guys.

In the meantime, I plan to do all my work in notepad so it doesn't get in the way of the mechanical stuff anymore.   The plan will be to add that content once everything else is working right.  However, the time I've been investing in Inheritance will be scaled back a little bit in favor for a little more time to work on Wanton Cove in the meantime.

When the first build becomes available (Sorry, still don't have a date for you guys), it will have the biggest and most involved intro of any of my projects that will almost play like an interactive story.  The choices you make in the intro will have the ability to shift the girls' opinions of you quite a bit.  The idea was to create something of a baseline behavior from them that would reflect the player's play style.  (There's a really good naughty scene towards the end of that too, one of the better scenes I've written IMO)  Then the game will drop you into a sandbox style setting that the player will be able to explore along with a host of ambient content and a couple of interactive scenes.

I'll keep you guys posted as we get closer to release.

The Allure of Wanton Cove:

Been doing just a little touch up work on this the last few days, but nothing too serious.  Haven't heard much of anything about bugs from any of the testers.  As such, I'm eying later this week for a release..  About 7k words of new content that will bring the game to over 200k.

Since Inheritance is taking longer than we had originally hoped for, we've been discussing the possibility of expanding Wanton Cove beyond what we had originally planned.  There is a very good chance that once the game is "Complete" I will begin mapping and writing additional secondary storylines into the game and letting the player follow up further on some of the things that are only hinted at in the game.

Been talking with the artist who the cover art was commissioned from.  They are working on three variants for the primary "Bad" end for the game.   I doubt they will make it into this week's update, but they should be complete with plenty of time for the next one.  If we see similar growth this month to what we saw last month, I intend to do another set of them for the Deep One endings next month.  I think I'll continue with that pattern moving forward so long as support stays strong.  (Basically, promised my wife I wouldn't spend more than half the increase in support on art each month.)

The other stuff:

Mentioned a couple of days back that I started a wiki for Wanton Cove and some other projects.   Not a huge amount of content over there yet, but I'm trying to add some useful content, including a guide for the "Cathedral" and how to enter it.  Its going to be a slow process, but I plan to plug away at it a little bit at a time to flesh out the content over there.  Also, Rfpnj has his own area for his Therapist game that they are working on as well.

Been looking at The Virgin Games (A story by the same name that I started over on chyoa.com) as a future project.  Not sure when I'll do it, but I have decided to take that story and drop it into twine (The program I use to make games) and release what's there to gauge interest in it as a larger project.  When that time comes, I'll be posting it here for Patrons first.
