"It feels like he's leaving me" might also be (at least I take it as) a reference to the fact that every time there's a timeline jump and the Reading Steiner [name subject to change] activates, the transferred Okabe consciousness is missing memory bits of the things that changed, that Mayuri remembers as happening in her/current timeline. Basically, the current Okabe is about 3-4 timelines away from Mayuri already. To be fair, we don't know if it was Moeka's or Ruka's DMail that caused the IBN to not be found. Both have ties to it. Yes, Moeka's interest in it was suspect, but Ruka's DMail also shifted us 0.6% in timeline. They finally figure out that ANYTHING can cause ANYTHING, which is common sense to us viewers. And damn, Ruka's DMail un-un-did (part of?) something that Moeka's DMail un-did first. This is the problem with Reading Steiner, Okabe doesn't know if Moeka's introduction to the lab was any different in this timeline. The fact that the other lab members don't see the changes (because nothing has changed for them) is reason why they're so casual about it. Only Kurisu, who knows the theory behind it is reluctant, but still, she hasn't experienced it so she isn't afraid enough. Okabe is only know with the switcheroo of Moeka's introduction and the IBN business starting to realize the magnitude. 0.52% to 0.40% is the biggest jump we've seen so far. Aaaand... all the weeb is gone from Akihabara. -sad tuturu noises-

Ah that's a good point about Mayuri. They're so far removed from what they're doing. Their best chance would be microchanges, going back no more than a day (like winning the lottery 😂)

You’re definitely right about there being more to the time travel thing than there may seem. If we were being “realistic” or as realistic as you can be with time travel involved, way more would be changing from a d-mail sent back decades. But even so, who knows what else could have been affected. As Arakis pointed out, we don’t even know which d-mail caused the IBN to be gone, as Okabe only noticed now. I think something the last few episodes have shown is that up until now, while Okabe clearly knew the risks involved with any kind of time travel, he didn’t really take it seriously in favor of either his own goals or his friends’ wishes. It took seeing Akihabara completely changed for him to start realizing how severe the effects can be. I love the scene at the end of Okabe just frantically looking around the town he once knew, seeing a lack of anime culture that would have been there an hour ago from his perspective. I also love the “trope” if you can call it that, of having the end credits play over the episode. It also helps when the outro song is a banger, (looking at you HxH).

Exciting things are picking up. I will say it's good Okarin seems to be slowly understanding the crazy maze he is making for himself with every dmail.

Honestly, some of these comments from Mayuri show why she is so much more than she seems. She has no book smarts, yet seems to see the situation more clearly than anyone. She really is the beating heart of the show.

It is funny how there are so many genuinely very smart people in this show, from Kurisu to Daru to Faris and even Okabe, yet most of them are emotionally dense. It's nice to see Mayuri fill that gap.
