Olmar rightfully deserved mockery in his prior acts, but few can blame him for how misguided he was in what he valued as being a "real man". He had the lie of "Iron Fist Ketil" as his father, the absolute monster that is Thorgil as his older brother, as well as the Guests using him for their own amusement, all of this and society itself filling a sheltered boys head with how important it is to be a warrior. It took a catastrophic event for him to realise his faults, but he showed tremendous courage and strength to confront them, as well as standing up to his brother. Such a great arc for him. Fully agree about Thorgil too, he's an absolutely horrible bastard, but he's so pure in it, he is 100% who he wants to be. Have to love him.
