The third season is the 10 episode season 👀

Stupid, sexy Oikawa and his stupid, sexy serve.

I think something to keep in mind about Tsukki is that he's very observant and, as a result, intelligent, plus I also think he has confidence in Yamaguchi and believes he is capable. I think his understated reactions are his way of supporting Yamaguchi; if he suddenly started acting all jovial, it would seem out of character for Mr.Edgy.

I love your episode descriptions

I love the detail that when Tsukki is in front, he covers the back of his head when most of the others are serving, but not when Yamaguchi is. He has full confidence Yamaguchi will make it over and not accidentally hit him in the back of the head

Hinata telling Yamaguchi to get 10 points (and saying it's ok if he ends the match) always warms my heart, because it means a lot coming from the guy who doesn't want to leave the court for even a second if he can avoid it :)

Agreed. The soundtrack really is great in this episode. Three songs from this episode in particular will all be remixed and used in very different contexts in later seasons, so good to remember these themes: "Omnivorous" https://youtu.be/-Y_pLbaK878 "Above" https://youtu.be/LL-XvudvRDA "Limit Break" https://youtu.be/jsLjmAg1tXo

This fateful third set marks the final battle between these 2 teams, as the 3rd years will be gone next year.

To me I feel like Tsukki's nonchalantness and unenthusiastic support towards Yamaguchi are in fact his unspoken faith in his friend. There was a previous episode where Tsukki said something to Yamaguchi that didn't necessarily have all the fluff of support and encouragement, however, I feel like he knows Yamaguchi's potential and doesn't insert any bias because he already knows what he's capable of.

I posted something similar before reading yours! I agree with you, it would definitely weird everyone out if all of a sudden Tsukki started praising Guchi. I think him expressing his support for his friend in his own way is actually really special lol
