one thing abt Vinland Saga that never ceases to make me laugh is the way the so-called language barrier tries to work. it's just very amusing, like (in japanese) hey does anyone here speak Norse? (in japanese) what language is that? It's definitely not French And I'm watching, understanding both English and French out of English, French, Norse, and Japanese. But *everything's* in Japanese. the suspension of disbelief is great AND THE "TRANSLATOR' IS JUST REPEATING THE LINES like i understand why they're doing what they're doing, it is just absolutely hilarious.
