I find it SO interesting that Eren was the first person to shout "WAIT" at Zeke when he was about to transform everyone with the wine. Then Colt arrived and made his case. Almost like Eren didn't want that part of Zeke's plan to go through considering how much it would affect Paradis

It's so beautiful and tragic that Colt refused to leave Falco's side as he was transforming, giving his life to just support and comfort his brother in those few moments... Only for Falco to revert maybe a couple minutes later.

I remember sobbing at Colt’s death when reading it in the manga for the first time. It happened so fast in the anime (no fault to MAPPA they had a lot of content to pack in) His last line “your big brother will stay with you always” was so heart breaking.

Don’t get me wrong the first 2 episodes were amazing too, no doubt. But this was what I was waiting for lol. This episode and everything that follows is constant “wtf is going on?!?” and loads more of those triggers actually being pulled, like you mentioned lol. This episode really starts where I was excited for the anime only people’s reactions

I am so HAPPY to be vindicated by what Eren Said I knew from the start that he was never going to go along with Zeke's Plan. His own Mothers words if yall remember from seasson 3 mid season finale "Eren is Special if for no other reason than he was born into this world" Zeke whole plan is jsut plain dumb Lets say he does get what he wants and Eldians cannot have kids then the whole world will just move onto the next descrutive thing to kill each other be it nukes, bombs, guns etc. and wage war upon one and another. The only thing he might do is desotry Marley which is a good thing IMO but a bad thing for the eldians who have been suffering so much from their subjigation and opression they faced with Marley and The Formor King who wiped eveyrones memories.

In the contrary, I think Porco sacrificing himself for Falco and continuing Marcel's "legacy" (if you will) of saving Reiner is probably a victory in itself. This chapter is one of my favorites in the manga because Colt and Porco's death really hit home despite being new characters.

It’s definitely meant to be used as a reference to Yggdrasil, since a ton of the mythology and lore that influenced this series came from Norse mythos. Titans, Ymir, the World (Paths) tree, etc.

I was kind of annoyed by the animation and pacing of the first two episodes this season (numerous cuts in scenes, noticeable long pauses, etc) that it took me away somewhat from the tension of the plot and conflicts. However this episode was much better with the pacing. That first half was crazy tense the whole time, and I really enjoyed seeing the conflict between Eren and Zeke.

I legit snorted when Alex said, "You had all this time and couldn't think of a better plan?" to Zeke but that's the point. Maggath (and Ksaver) thoroughly convinced Zeke that Eldians were evil, born for suffering, and didn't deserve to live. So, the zenith of all solutions was just to kill all Eldians. A simple calculus for him. He is just as suicidal as Reiner but just a bit more willful and capable with a lot more ambition. The way this ep was shot was amazing. So many incredible style choices, like swooping all through the battlefield in the moment of Zeke catching Eren's head. Just riveting.

This week in aot: Magath is still blatantly using wallhacks, Hange reached Australia and Zeke wins the titan baseball olympics again, 4 years after his perfect game against some scouts coached by Erwin Smith

This show will officially be the greatest series of all time if Levi comes back from the dead out of completely nowhere, music swelling, animation budget turned to 10, and finally kills Zeke fulfilling the promise he made to Erwin Smith many years ago. I won't even care what happens after that, just give me Levi taking down the Monke FOR REAL...Please. I hate Zeke so much, he's an actual murderous psychopath. Amazing character nonetheless.
