No, no. You see, Gentle Criminal is actually a hero. He's fighting the most vile evil of all, slow upload speeds, burnout and low view counts.

agoodwintv

I accidently uploaded Fruits Basket as MHA on YT, fixing now ^^

Jacob Keyser

Can't wait for you to start season 5

You talking about travel and teaching in different countries has helped me realize that I want to study abroad in Germany

A Spinoff with Bakugo as a music director? It already exists! It's called Whiplash

SirLagginton

I was raised there and gotta say best country i've ever been to, great choice

SirLagginton

Erwin Smith, who's that? I only know Hound Dog.

Sonozaki Shinji

i love deku's and gentleman criminal fight, is one that i want to both sides to win, and since i care a lot for Eri it make me care more about the outcome of this fight

"BARK, MY SOLDIERS! WOOF, MY SOLDIERS! ARF, MY SOLDIERS!!!!" -Hound Dog Smith

jdthebud

4:15 so Deku's real quirk is plot convenience? lol.

Skyler Anderson

I love the fact that you already see the good in Gentle Criminal and I guess it resonates more as someone who does YouTube so that's awesome too. This arc is one of my favorites overall.

Brimmy

Gentle is Character Development for Deku other than that he's annoying as fuck the fight in the manga was fricken cool tho o.o hopefully this is the last time i myself am annoying repeating myself of my dislike for Gentle XD

On the topic of some videos being received better or worse than others, despite how you may or may not have felt when making a given video, know that there will always be people who are here because they like you and the content you make. I feel it can be especially hard with reaction style content, because the point you made about how, once you've reacted to something you can't just re-react holds some truth to it. The thing is, I think I can speak for anyone here when I say your genuine reaction and thoughts are very important. Sure, maybe you didn't react the way some people might expect, but you always give such great insight into everything. I can say that with myself, I've definitely gained some new insights about not only the shows in question but about various things in life as well. So despite the feedback, just keep doing what you're doing, and I can confidently say there are many of us who will be here to enjoy the ride along with you.

Can't wait for the next episode!!

Maybe im missing something, but how is it character development for deku? He just wanna save the festival so that everybody, and especially Eri, can have a good time and be happy. How is that new or different to what deku does normaly?

Kingsley

Regarding the videos with less engagement: if it's any reassurance, in my case, sometimes I just don't comment on videos if I feel like I have nothing of significance to add to the conversation. If anything, I think it's a reflection of how thoroughly you cover a discussion topic in those videos--I have no counterpoint to offer, I just enjoyed listening to your thoughts. I get a lot out of your content. I don't think I've ever felt "meh" about a video that you've posted.

The thought of G.C.’s thumbnail face got a good laugh out of me

William Wellman

Honestly, this. I'm here because I like the 'philosophy' that Goodwin drops. That's the reason I support him on Patreon, but don't really comment often, except to occasionally throw out a reminder of some series recommendations. :P

Sam B

Bakugo is the band director from Whiplash, who is in fact the voice actor for Tenzin, and I think he would be an amazing VA for older Bakugo.

Sam B

Gentle Criminal's character and arc are such good "villains" for a less intense arc like this. Every moment of this show tries to demonstrate how driven and capable Class 1A is.

Sam B

WHAT THE HELL, hahaha. I paused the video to comment that thing about Bakugo with Tenzins voice, continued the video, and then read the comments saying the exact same thing.

Sam B

There are just as crazy and abstract quirks in the MHA universe as plot convenience, I wouldn't bet against it lol.

Sam B

I bet you made made multiple accounts to dislike Gentle Criminal's videos.

Brimmy

@Benni Martius Char Dev for him so he can learn on the fly how to use his new long range attack

Brimmy

@Samuel D Baum i only have one account hun, that's too much effort to make another account and spend even more money to just complain about a character in a specific arc also unless ur joking which hindsight i'm sure u are I'm currently sick and can't think well so pardon me

Zanarkand

One day closer to 25.

I really can't wait to hear his thoughts on the implications that come from that episode.

i agree 100%. I know you feel down when you miss a self imposed deadline, but you are by far the most prolific person I patreon. i do hope, if you ever decide to add a live action show, that you start with Buffy. On the surface, it seems so silly, a show about a teen girl who fights vampires, yet it eventually became so profound they now teach college courses on it. My second choice would be Xena: Warrior Princess, by Sam Ramia, about a woman, once evil, now seeking her own personal redemption arc.
