Kakeru the student council member you said sounded familiar is Amajiki in MHA. He's also Al in 2003 fma and young Hohenheim in Brotherhood. Fun fact: his first ever anime VA role was as Hiro in the 2001 fruits basket when he was a kid

Yuki started the episode believing what Kyo said, that he's lame and boring, but Manabe said he was interesting, the first time someone's said that to him, that's why it made him happy :)

for me this and season 3 are tied :) i think season 3 has some of the best moments but it cut a lot from the manga, meanwhile season 2 is the most well rounded season

I do like the personal growth from Motoko this episode. It shows that the words she heard from Hanajima’s brother really had an impact on her. She’s starting to look past her own feelings and that makes me want to root for her a bit.

Ahh finally Kakeru's introduction. One of my favorite characters, I totally forgot how long this show takes before you finally get introduced to the other student council members. This plotline of Yuki grappling with the new responsibilties and people to deal with in the council is one of my favorite storylines of the whole show, expect a lot more coming from this introduction episode. Machi is also fantastic as well, her intro in this episode was very.....off putting? Definitely perplexing though and makes her compelling to see why she was destroying the room before Yuki got there and just what her whole deal is. These are two new fantastic characters who get a lot of screentime, can't wait for more of this.

I've HEARD about School Days but i've not seen it and i can confirm Furuba is nothing like that o.o other than Machi and Yuki i hate everyone on the new student council lol chicken, that's a rooster Alex XD also YES Horse Girl is coming i'm very excited <3 <3

So, I'm SUPER late, but I will say Yuki seems to have Kyo's problem but inverted. Kyo didn't want people to see the real him because he believed he was ugly. Yuki is seen by EVERYONE as beautiful, but they all devote themselves to him without bothering to look under his surface.
