It's clear that both Deku and All-Might really take defeats and shortcomings personally. I think that's what pushes them to become better heroes, but also is probably one of their biggest flaws too. I think Deku really rushes into things sometimes without regard to the consequences, so far it has turned out mostly alright, but now that he couldn't save Bakugo, the weight is even heavier. I think this personal weight is also one of the reason why Hero Society has become as they are. Like the teachers said, they've become complacent after relying on All-Might so much. I'm amazing how you caught onto this idea from the very first episode haha. Look forward to see the next chess moves in this arc!

Twice seems like has a lot of personality and Toga is fun. Though I think in this arc they work well as an ensemble.

Kirishima's will is truly unbreakable, in that he's always willing to come to the aid of his friends, because that's the kind of man he aspires to be. "Crimson is my idol" was really taken to heart.

I never really understood the immediate suspicion of a traitor in this situation. In a normal world, sure, that would make total sense, but when there's such a wide variety of quirks and almost everyone has one... Surely there must be hundreds of quirks out there that could be used for spying/locating/reconnaissance? That would be my first thought, a villain with some kind of clairvoyance quirk. Maybe those aren't very common or something though.

that scene around where bakugou gets taken is so emotionally well done. deku's desperate screams to save him, the music, bakugou telling deku to "stay back" as he obviously does care about deku and deku's agonizing scream after bakugou is gone. always makes me teary-eyed

I’m backing this idea. Both episodes commonly are uploaded together in many channels, and you’ll understand why when episode 9 finishes. The break of next weekend between both 10 and 11 would’ve the worst timing ever lol

You're really nailing the focus argument of the show to "fix" the Hero Society Conandrum in this post All Might era - it's not about just one symbol, but many that perpetuates others. The next 5/6 episodes are going to be REALLY good. And for god's sake: watch for some post-credits scene. There will be a couple ones freaking really REALLY REALLY important .

My favorites in the class are Bakugou and Kirishima and I really like that they're great friends. While Kirishima isn't at fault, he feels so useless, I can't blame him for wanting to go against the rules.

A lot of editors do this to keep things interesting. Irl people usually think about what they're going to say especially if it's something like commentary here. So I'm guessing he does it so that there are no awkward pauses between sentences and everything flows
