Amber is a truly insufferable character, one of the only negatives of this amazing show. Won’t say anymore until next episode though.

"You should've died to make my joke funny" you are everything i've ever wanted in a reaction channel

This is probably my 2nd favorite episode behind one coming up. I find Titan to be a pretty compelling character. I can't say I root against him for what he did to Mark, he's got a family to care for. But after finishing the episode, I come away with a few questions. Did Mark make the right decision even though it turned out this way? Can we consider Omni-man a good father in some ways? He's still trying to teach Mark how to be a hero (even if in a possible evil way). And how is this show so star-studded?! Damn!

Battle Beast! Finally! Great reaction, as always!

idk if it was actually said explicitly but i don't believe omniman is losing his powers, correct me if i'm wrong

That's part of the fun of the show so far and this episode in particular I think. Omniman does a lot of reprehensible things yet has moments of great fathering and obviously does a lot of good for the world. Titan took down someone who I suppose was doing great harm, yet there's no guarantee he won't end up being the same or worse. But while that part is ambiguous, I do think Mark helping him was not the right call just because it's not a good long-term strategy to take missions from people who might use him to their own advantage.

I never heard them say it explicitly but what led me to believe that was the scene of the Shield agent or whatever who told Cecil that the Kaiju battle was the most he had ever seen Omniman struggle.

I think Titan is doing the Walter White thing of telling himself he's only doing this for his family or to help other people, but in reality, he enjoys what he does. You don't become the kingpin of a criminal empire and not enjoy the criminal life. Sucks because I think he legitimately wants to help people and do good, but he's just been in the game too long.

Rudy Strother

I believe the implication of talking about Omniman struggling was just pointing out the Kaiju was particularly strong.

I would say Mark doesn’t just come up with his compass on his own, but that’s his mother in him as opposed to his powers coming from his father. It’s perhaps my favorite dynamic of the show, having his father be the all powerful hero but his mother be the down to earth human. It’s the two sides that make Mark up and his mother is why he’s different from Omni-Man. While Omni-Man teaches him how to fight with his alien powers, she teaches him to hold on to his humanity and lead with his heart. She’s a lot like his Uncle Ben

Jake White

Omniman called in the anonymous tip because his basic thought process was, “since I’m letting Mark learn a hard lesson right now, if there’s someone in there who can beat him up then I should get the guardians involved since they’ll all probably be wiped out, too.” Kind of a 2 birds 1 stone idea. The new guardians get wiped out without him being directly responsible and Mark learns that “hard, painful lesson” Nolan mentioned at dinner.

I love how rex carries refrigerator magnets for weapons. he's a part of the most well funded hero team in the world and he goes to the dollar store to get his weapons. idk why but that's strangely endearing to me.

jhāna

I honestly agree with Nolan’s sentiment that it’s “beneath” Mark to undertake tasks such as the one with Titan because as u stated Mark can’t do it all, he needs a break and with him being one of the strongest hero’s on the planet I think he should reserve his time and strength for bigger things such as fighting off an alien race and stoping an asteroid capable of destroying the country, as Nolan stated. Plus he was right abt Titan using him.

Nick

True but even Mark knew that Titan was using him. He said at dinner he knew that after Nolan pointed it out. I think the reason he did it is because he lacked perspective on the ground level issues going on and wanted to see for himself

Good news!! Invincible Season 2 confirmed and projected to be coming out Spring 2022!

Just like last episode, I'm pretty sure there's a Star Trek joke here. Michael Dorn (who plays Worf in Star Trek) voices Battle Beast and literally comments on the fight he's in having "no honour". I'm much more confident in this one than the Vulcan nerve pinch one. I think someone on the Invincible casting staff wanted to make up for Worf getting his ass kicked so much in TNG, so they made him one of the best minor villains in the show.
