Actually, I think it's only 3 years in Japan. Quick note, All Might uses many expressions in English (not only his attacks name).

i took this episode as a very good direction for Bakugou's character personally, he saw he wasn't the best, he took in the criticism of his classmates, and swallowed his pride and decided he's going to work hard to become the number one hero, just like Deku.

I think the point of the end was that bakugo was gonna abandon the school and after deku talked to him he changed his mind, which is why all might said he was already over it

Unpopular opinion here I think dekus relationship with bakugo is not healthy it’s like he can’t really read the room bakugo is clearly angry at deku and he thinks it’s like a moment for a nice heart to heart . I also think it was SO irresponsible and a betrayal of almights trust to even almost tell bakugo about one for all almight made it clear it was an important secret and for deku to risk all of that because some guy he has a crush on is upest with him over the fact that he couldn’t step all over him in a fight is ridiculous to me . To me deku and bakugo aren’t rivals rivals have mutual respect for each other and want to top each other based off that level of mutual respect for each other’s skills . Deku May respect bakugo but it’s very clear bakugo has no respect for anyone not even all MIGHT THE NUMBER ONE HERO I just don’t really see it for bakugo right now .

Yeah that was my gut feeling about that end scene as well. It didn't seem like the best moment to go after him and spill his guts. Likewise, what Deku said about "I'll keep chasing him" or whatever it was seems a little overboard.

I love Bakugo and Deku and I like their Dynamic and think its well written and funny. Excited to see what you think of its development or lack thereof in future seasons.

Update: That guy asking Ururaka out getting rejected is brutal especially because she said: "I guess I like something sweet- OH, DEKU!" and ran over to him RIP to that guy, now that's a lotta damage I'm also progressively enjoying this show more and more as it goes on. I keep finding new qualities to appreciate, and your commentary helps with that too!

I change my mind. I didn't think I was going to get as much out of your commentary to MHA because it's a bit more juvenile than stuff like AOT or FMAB. I was wrong, your "over-analysis" is actually kinda helping me see some broader lines connecting various moments across the show. Hard to explain why without spoiling so I won't bother. Anywhosers, loving that new outro lmao I'm definitely baby Deku six evenings out of the week. Also I can't wait for you to get to know the newly introduced Hands McGee. He's my second favorite character in this show besides All Might.

I'm a manga-reader, so there isn't too much I can really say, but I appreciate how insightful you've been about Bakugo so far. I couldn't stand him until quite a bit further into the story.
