Ahh yes I’ve been waiting for this episode!!! This is where the rubber meets the road. You see the real side of this show.

Andrew G

I’m already fuggin here bruh

Nick

The “And Thomas loses” in the YouTube video description is so brutal but hilarious in a dark way, I love it Will update after watching

malikparah

This was the episode we learned that Isayama was anime's answer to George RR Martin. RIP Eren but this was a necessary step for Armin to grow into the show's true protagonist

benj

These reactions are gonna be wild, I think you're gonna love this show but wow is it different than the other shows you've watched on the channel so far. Like you said in the last episode its all non-stop tension and insanity the entire time.

hays collins

“Why are we cutting to a flash back” hahaha you gotta get used to that

Francesca White

Eren: loses arm and leg- Alex: NO HE'S FINE (i won't say if he's fine or not obviously but that moment was just super funny lmfao)

Get prepared! this tension filled roller-coaster isn't gonna slow down anytime soon. Cant wait for the next few episodes

Andrew G

Hahahaha your expressions during the all-obliterating servings of smackdown soup handed out to the squad via Titan Catering Service Soooooo good

Megan

Armin’s scream of absolute terror and desperation gets me every time... I actually really like the flashback of them talking about the sea, it shows just how isolated they are inside the walls.

Etsch

Alex: "One of the most important traits of a hero is competence" Eren: *gets eaten* Lol I have been waiting for this episode. It was definitely not how I expected things to go.

ArmdVctr

Though there's no automail in This universe for Eren though. He is now Edward Elric.

DrowsyCody

MC previously wren CURRENT mikasa UP NEXT... 🤣🤣

NitrousOxide19

yeah this episode was nuts the first time i watched it when i was like 14. like WHAT? everyone is just.. dead.

Henry Law

Erens death sets an important tone for the two main protagonists to step up in their drive to destroy the titans. I hope you’re enjoying the show!

Ngl when I watched the first episode of this show I was like nope I refuse to continue, it seems too depressing and gory. But, everyone else just seems to love it so much I'm like alright I'll pull through for another few episodes, so I did little by little. It was probably this episode here when I started binging. I'm still in season 1 but it's PACKED. Can't say I'm pleased about being used to the carnage now though haha

Nick

Update: This episode throws such a huge curve ball, I forgot all about it from when I last watched parts of this season. The sheer brutality of the entire squad getting wiped out. I’m sure Eren’ll be fine he just needs to find Winry Seriously though saving Armin cost him an arm (and a leg before that). Armin starts with A same with Alphonse. Edward and Eren... there’s clearly something deeper going on here that we need to get to the bottom of

agoodwintv

Yeah seems like it's gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets better... if it ever gets better

agoodwintv

That scene is set up so well, starting with Thomas' idea to have a Titan killing contest. And also I've noticed the action is sort of off-tempo, which works really well. What I mean by that is there's no warning really... Thomas is just dead, then the other guy gets smacked out of the air, and everything goes wrong so fast.

agoodwintv

Haha if it keeps going like this I can imagine that being the case. "Oh. There goes Billy. That's a shame."

Jupiterninja

Ok now I think I can recommend the only episode of TeamfourStar's Attack on Titan Abridged parody without spoilers Edit: I haven't actually seen all of AoT so let me know if there's actually some wink-wink-nudge-nudge spoilers in there

When I first watched this I really thought Eren was the protagonist. They had to pull a Games of Thrones.

agoodwintv

Lol I love the solidarity in the comments about Eren being dead. But he's not. Right? RIGHT???

Anonymous

Fuck these titans

Kiwa

R. I. P Eren, I liked him. Shame really

Anonymous

Okay, I was reacting alongside you, but now it's time for me to binge watch the entire show just like I did with fmab lol.

Adam Vialpando

I mean its not the first time what appears to be the main character ends up dying. It sets up the actual main character. Even in movies sometimes protagonists die in the intro and the rest of the movie is about them.

Anonymous

We are on the same wavelength ✊ now is absolutely the time.

agoodwintv

I'm sure you're right but the only example I can think of right now is Alien. Although that's a case of "who is the protagonist?" rather than the clear protagonist dying.

CastSenpai

Please find a version that uses more accurate subtitles! This one is a bit excessive and inaccurate.

I took a long break after watching the first two episodes of this show, and once I tried again, this was the episode that pulled me in. I could not believe how brutal it was and I had to know how they were going to get out of the mess they were in when it got off to that kind of a start.

Brimmy

"he was aiming for the batteries" ppffff I'm very behind but i assume u've changed subs at some point

Aaron Ong

This is a year old comment but I thought I should mention that a "battery" is a unit of artillery/cannons!
