First!!! Enjoy book 4

hays collins

How big of a shock was the three years later?

NitrousOxide19

ah man already cant wait for next episode HAHAHA

hays collins

Did you like the changes to the characters especially the airbenders new outfits

D DuB

Kuvira is hot. That’s enough for me.

Dierane

I found it so cool that Tenzin would allow the new addition of the glider suits (pretty sure they were created by Asami) over the traditional handheld gliders. Crazy to think that during season one he wouldn't even let Korra join pro-bending because it was a “mockery of the noble tradition of bending” Shows how far he's come.

Wu is the human embodiment of a chihuahua

Loved the reaction. I get that you kind of missed the truth about how korra was feeling at the end of book 3, but its all good. Tomorrow's episode is my personal favorite in book 4 and a top 5 in both shows! Very intrigued to see your reaction. See you tomorrow!

Last one! What a journey through this franchise! I commented on one of the first patreon videos saying how excited i was to be able to provide even a small amount of support for the continuation of your series and your reactions. Finding it oddly satisfying seeing someone experience something you love for the first time has been such a joy to watch every day! Cant wait for your eventual insight into fmab and hxh if thats where you decide to take your content. Either way, i look forward to consuming literally any content you put out dude, youre awesome and keep up the amazing work!

Fun fact about Kai’s deeper voice. They got all of his line down and then several months later called him in to do the extra lines and noises(grunts, fighting noises, etc) and his voice had deepened a lot so they had to redo all his lines

Oh man, I cant believe we’ve reached the last season of the entirety of the Avatar Universe. Kinda sad even though season 4 is my personal favorite of TLOK, especially the next episode. Korra's journey was my favorite part of the series the first time I watched all those years ago, and still deeply resonates with me today. This season just hits on so many great themes and ideas, especially for a kids show. I'm looking forward to your input.

newairnation

The new airbender outfits look like they came straight out of a superhero comic. Which is fitting, considering how they were designed by the Avatarverse equivalent of Batman.

You are gonna love Episode 2 like it’s the best of the season maybe the show. It’s amazing

agoodwintv

Thank you! I really appreciate it :D And it looks like FMAB will be very soon!

agoodwintv

I know, it's bittersweet. It's been so great looking forward to my daily dose of Korra.

agoodwintv

This is somewhat unrelated but your comment made me think of it... I remember at the beginning of ATLA I mentioned Dragonball a few times and the similarities between the two shows, but that became less relevant as the show went on and separated itself in so many ways. But funnily, now I'm thinking about Dragonball again because the last "arc" of DBZ has a smilar feeling of "what is everyone up to all these years later," as well as a character (Gohan) becoming a superhero.

I also love Kuvira's bending. Earth has always been shown as the element of fortitude and strength. It's very rooted, powerful, and involves heavy attacks. Right off the bat though, she uses rapid jabs and arm movements, shooting these tiny pieces of metal out with speed and precision, showing a bending style almost directly juxtaposed with traditional earthbending. Yet, it's still extremely powerful. I'm a big fan of the idea that the Airbenders are "reclaiming" their past as nomads, and just wandering the world helping people. Side note: it's my personal headcanon that all the people who got airbending after harmonic convergence are in some way descendant from the airbenders who escaped the genocide and went into hiding; as if it was their destiny all along to become airbenders, they just didn't know it. EDIT: Removed first paragraph because I guess it was a little spoilery. Didn't think I really crossed any lines, kept things vague and only to what was shown in the episode, but I'm removing it out of caution and respect.

The fanbase is split nearly 50-50 on choosing their favorite villain of Korra. Some prefer Zaheer for his intriguing philosophy, exceptional fighting skills, and inspiring conviction; some say Kuvira, the main reason being that she's hot and gives off a bit of Azula energy lmao. I hope you end up doing a ranking of all the villains overall (yes, Varrick counts-ish)

Dierane

Theres a small minority that really like Amon and almost everyone collectively chooses to forget Unalaq exsisted

Ben Barringer

And thus begins the End. I am not okay with this, but I can't wait to keep it going.

Henry Law

I’m so sad it’s gonna be the last season of watching you react to avatar but it’s been an absolute trip through and through.

Kendorable

They really just wrote Kuzco into book 4, haha.

Cody Taylor

As we begin the end of this wonderful show. I am curious if you have started and how you are enjoying the kyoshi books

Kendorable

I don't know if anyone has brought this up, but Kuvira is voiced by Zelda Williams, the very cool daughter of the late Robin Williams! She has such a cool quality to her voice! (and yes, she's actually named after Princess Zelda)

Ana Andrade

Korra's hair 😍 Am I right?

agoodwintv

I started it last night and got about 40 pages in :D I'm enjoying it so far. I will probably announce a reading schedule tomorrow.

Brock Percle

Im pretty sure kai said they were fine because ginora spirit projects and visits him haha

Nico Salerno

The level of chaos amd destruction sufferred after the fall of the Earth Queen is so massive. Reminds me of the turmoil before and after the french revolution. And of course directly out of that revolution brought Nepoleon.

Kuvira is harsh, but honestly id take her rule over the past rulers of the Earth Kingdom that weve seen or Prince Wu

Jupiterninja

I like to think the creators were like "Oh no, was season 3 too violent for you? We are so sorry. How about this: Prince Wu's assassins now have strawberry pies. Is that better for you?"

Brimmy

everything will make sense in ep 2

Brooke

btw! kuvira is voiced by Zelda Williams--Robin Williams' daughter

Ramon Cintron

Dude please contain the spoilers you jnow that from watching the last episode but that message is not obvious here at all yet were still exploring the situations not the reasonings. Please don't spoil

Faureamour

So sad to be ending this journey soon. Still, at least there are a couple surprises yet to come.

Blackeyedlily

When you mentioned the hair changes right off the bat I was wondering if we would see Korra’s in this first episode. I had forgotten if we got to see any of her in this first one. I really wanted to reassure you at the end of Season 3 that Jinora wouldn’t stay bald. But I held back on the principle of spoilers. I’m personally big on the hair changes as well. I enjoyed your commentary about that in ATLA.

Brooke

Korra Alone is my favorite episode in the entire show

Manuel Alves

It is sad when you find out that characters have been apart for years between seasons and don't see each other that much. But Mako and Bolin are brothers. That's for life. You feel me?

DogBless

I love the overarching theme of this whole show, which is demonstrated well in this episode alone: that to be The Chosen One means nothing, that birthright means nothing, that to have power means nothing, if that is all you possess. Balance is the key to all and it is harmful to only rely on a single person, force, or symbol to maintain balance. We all play an equally important role.
